After graduating from McGill I was not sure where my life was heading, but I always had a dream, which I was not ready to let it die inside of me. I was not able to accept that there is a chance I would be rejected for my Master’s degree. Therefore, I refused to apply because I thought I was not good enough and the competition was too high. This is when I sought out Chynna and I open up to her. She encouraged me and made me realize that I was setting myself up for failure by not even trying. Her words were comforting and she was there whenever I needed someone to hear me out. She was listening without judging me and embraced my flaws, she accepted me for who I am. That’s what makes her special, she has the ability to make you embrace the whole you.”

I failed my drivers test 4 times when I was 17 years old. I was mortified because failing was so unusual for me. At 25 years old, I reassured myself that I could forever get around by taking the bus and metro since I live in the city. However, I had an irritation within, feeling unaccomplished. It was by talking with Chynna that I was able to explore my fear related to driving and I didn’t even realize how powerful our easy breezy conversation would be. Chynna worded her perspective of my fear so perfectly; my fear was more about taking another drivers test than it was about actually driving a car. It’s as if one conversation with Chynna untangled a very old knot in my brain. I got my drivers license within the next month.
